Our history

1989

After 15 years as a salesman in the sector, Juan José Macías decided to establish himself independently to manufacture trailers in Olazagutia, Navarra. Trainar was born. A few years later, his son, Luis, joined the business, joining forces to drive the family company forward.

1997

We manufactured the latest Trainar trailer and began our commercial relationship with Nooteboom Trailers, becoming the official representatives of this Dutch brand.

1998

We delivered the first Scheuerle modular equipment in Spain, the result of collaboration between Trainar, Nooteboom Trailers, and Scheuerle.

2003

We inaugurated our facilities in San Román de San Millán, where we centralized all our activities.

2006

We delivered the largest order of Scheuerle modular equipment to date: 40 lines in 5 sets of 8 axles, Intercombi type.

2009

We began selling Pacton container chassis, manufactured in the Netherlands, becoming exclusive distributors throughout Spain.

2016

We delivered the largest capacity equipment sold by Trainar to date: 24 lines of SPMT Scheuerle type, with nearly 1,000 tons of gross capacity.

2023

Trainar became the representative of Goldhofer for Spain and Portugal.
